USA is the biggest wine importers with almost 6.000 million US$ (around 5.400 million €) of bottled wine equivalent to almost 1.200 million bottles 75cl.
After the UK in the second place, China is the 3rd largest market (considering bottled wine only, if we include bulk wine Germany is the 3rd largest). Since sparkling wine is not significant, in 2019 China imported almost 2.300 million US$ (around 2.100 million €) of still bottled wines (<2 litres) equivalent to over 620 million bottles 75cl.

The first 8 months of 2019 confirm Australia China’s largest wine exporter, with over 550 million US$ and 35% of market share, before France (2nd with 487 million US$) and Chile (3rd with 193 million US$), according to CAWS (Chinese Association of Wine & Spirit Importers).
