Dive into Spanish white wines [SIAL2019]

Shanghai, 14^th May 2019 – Vito Donatiello took part in “Dive into Spanish white wines” masterclass held by David Forer, Master of Wine.

David Forer introduced some raising appellation, such as D.O. Bierzo (Spain has 70+ Denomination of Origin) and some less known but interesting varietals such Viura and Godello, beside the popular Verdejo and Albarino. Last of the six wines was an innovative experimentation with a very unusual varietal in Spain, Gewurztraminer, made in the D.O. Somontano.

2. D.O. Bierzo, Castro de Valtuille Godello, Castro Ventosa, 100% Godello
3. D.O. Rias Baixas, Leirana, Forjas del Salnes, 100% Albarino (champion of lemon, aciditidy and sapidity)
4. D.O. Rueda, Ramon Bilbao, Verdejo, 100% Verdejo
5. D.O. Jumilla, Alma de David, Blanco, 75% Airen 25% Sauvignon Blanc
6. D.O.Somontano, Vinas del Vero, Gewurztraminer, 100% Gewurztraminer (off-dry, innovative)
