Siena, March 18th 2022 – Let’s deepen the knowledge of Cabernet Franc variety explained through different Tuscan production areas:
- Chianti Classico
- Suvereto
- Castiglioncello sul Trinoro, Val d’Orcia
- Costa Toscana
- Bolgheri
Compared to the Cabernet Sauvignon variety, of which it is one parent, Cabernet Franc reveals a lower tannin but a higher content of pyrazines that could often cause green notes. However, if well managed it is able to express winesdue mani cabern of great balance and absolute elegance.
Originated and became popular in France, it has spread in many areas of the world. In Italy, it finds its best expressions in the Friuli Venezia Giulia wine region and especially in Tuscany.
