In 2021 the Trento DOC reached a 150 million € turnover producing over 12 million bottles, and export accounted for 15%.
The history of this mountain sparkling wine began in the early 1900s with Giulio Ferrari who, after numerous study trips to France, returned to Trento and started his production of the classic method.
Since then many have followed it, until the recognition of the Trento DOC in 1993 which today brings together 63 sparkling wine producers.
