“The other Tuscany Preview 2022”

Florence, March 25^th 2022 – The Other Tuscany Preview is a great opportunity to taste wines of lesser-known appellations but equally special wines.

The events presents the new vintages of wines from 13 appellations (DOC and DOCG) represented by 10 consortia.

Appellations:

1. Carmignano DOCG (only 200 ha)
2. Barco Reale di Carmignano DOC
3. Chianti Rufina DOCG (the highest and the coolest Chianti subzone)
4. Colline Lucchesi DOC
5. Cortona DOC (the only Italian DOC focused on Syrah, 500 ha, total 500.000 bottles of which 70% Syrah)
6. Maremma Toscana DOC (quite large appellation)
7. Montecucco DOC (enclosed between Montalcino and Morellino DOC)
8. Montecucco Sangiovese DOCG (Sangiovese minimum 90%))
9. Orcia DOC (it lies on UNESCO World Heritage Site, enclosed between Montalcino and Montepulciano DOC)
10. Orcia Sangiovese DOC (Sangiovese minimum 90%)
11.  Terre di Casole DOC (very young having been born in 2007, only 34,000 bottles annual production, mainly organic)
12. Terre di Pisa DOC
13. Valdarno di Sopra DOC
