Gambassi (Florence), December 10th 2021 – Luigi Pizzolato’s “Club Wine Pit” organized a 5 Brunellos wine tasting to learn different wineries and vintages.
- Fattoria dei Barbi, Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, 2013
Intense garnet red. Fruity and spicy notes on the nose. Notable freshness.
- Tamburini, Somnio Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, 2015
Garnet red. Medium intensity on the nose. Very good on the palate: freshness and soft tannins, round and good structure.
- Le Chiuse, Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, Riserva 2006
Clean, deep ruby red. Pronounced intensity on the nose: liquorice, toasted wood, lots of freshness and smooth tannins, full-body, long persistence. It still has several years to develop.
- Siro Pacenti, Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, 2000
Clean, very intense ruby red. The colour is hard to believe for a 21 years old Brunello. Good intensity on the nose. Lots of freshness and abundant velvety tannins, fruity and tertiary aromas, very complex, long finish. Outstanding wine.
- Mostrojanni, Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, 2001
Intense garnet red. Medium intensity on the nose. Spicy, oak flavours. Medium finish.
