Really DUCKHORN puts his well-respected name on a can of seltzer?

Wine traditionalism vs modernism is an old big debate, where do you stand?

Remember the Barolo Boys revolution, bringing the French barriques for the first time in Piedmont in the ‘80s?

The screw cap, the most popular closure in new world countries, is still a sacrilege for Brunello and Barolo.

As much as bag-in-box is not allowed for these important wines.

And right now, the latest disruption is about the de-alcoholised wine being allowed in the EU.

Today I jumped on the chair, literally, when I discovered on the internet that Decoy Wines has introduced Premium Varietal Wine Seltzers. Really Duckhorn puts his well admired and respected name on a can of seltzer? Unbelievable!!!

Sonoma, California, Mar 5th 2021 – Decoy Wines, part of The Duckhorn Portfolio, is debuting Decoy Premium Seltzers. Building on Decoy’s reputation as one of the most recognizable names in luxury wine, Decoy Premium Seltzers are the first premium varietal wine-based seltzers on the market. Available in four refreshing flavours, the inaugural release is shipping nationally now.
