France is no longer the leading wine exporting superpower. First 5 months of 2019 saw Australia overtakes France as China’s biggest wine exporter, both in value and volume, according to CAWS (Chinese Association of Wine & Spirit Importers).
Italy confirms the 4th place, before Spain (interestingly Spain volume is almost +70% but its average price per bottle is much lower), with 6.7% of market share.
Considering the volume, Chile is the largest exporter with almost 100 million bottles.
